Aboitiz Foundation partners with PCLEDO

The Aboitiz Foundation, the corporate foundation arm of the Aboitiz Group, collaborated with the Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Enterprise Development Office (PCLEDO) in the conduct of Capability Building Training for San Pedro Multi-Purpose Cooperative last June 19 to 23, 2017 held at San Pedro MPC Conference Room, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

The activity was part of Aboitiz Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts particularly in the education and enterprise development of local communities. The training focused on Records and Audit Management to guide the coop officers in the proper management of its operation, and the business ventures of the cooperative, the San Pedro MPC.

San Pedro MPC recently graduated to a medium-size cooperative and is listed as the biggest cooperative with reference to assets in the municipality of Sto. Tomas. The reorganization and restructuring in its management brought drastic challenges that must be addressed, and capacitating the coop officers was the end-goal of the aforementioned training. The active participation of the officers in the discussion and workshops resulted to the development of two new policies, the records retention and disposition policy and the audit policy.
